Sadex is a commercial irradiation service center utilizing electron beam irradiation to treat meat, poultry, spices, animal feed, feed ingredients, pet food and treats, fresh produce, seafood and agricultural products. Sadex operates under USDA, FSIS, APHIS, and FDA regulatory authority processing food and feed products under a HACCP program to reduce foodborne pathogens to undetectable levels, extend shelf-life, and eliminate harmful pests. Food products are irradiated in their final packaging which adds value and maintains the safety and wholesomeness of the meat or food product which further protect the consumer from foodborne pathogens and adulterants that are a public health risk. Post package irradiation minimize the opportunity for cross or recontamination which occurs during further processing prior to final packaging. Sadex irradiates food and feed products going into commerce for domestic, export and import markets.

USMEF also connects U.S. suppliers who offer a wide variety of meat products to importers and end users in many international markets.
