2020 Call for Abstracts - Beef Industry Safety Summit
San Antonio, TX
The Beef Industry Safety Summit has been established as the premier event that brings industry leaders and safety professionals together from all sectors of the beef production, processing and marketing chain to focus on strategies to improve beef safety. As part of the annual Summit, the presentation of research results plays a key role in filling knowledge gaps and identifying new research needs so safety strategies can be adjusted to incorporate the latest information.
The Beef Industry Safety Summit will have a pre-conference session on March 3rd. The main meeting will occur March 4th and 5th, followed by a post-conference session on the 6th. The Beef Safety Research Update Session will occur on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 4th. Final agenda timeslots will be communicated once abstracts are selected. Scientists from universities, USDA-ARS AND/OR companies are invited to present research results from projects that were funded by ALL funding sources, not just The Beef Checkoff. Progress reports for projects that are ongoing (i.e. USDA-funded multi-year projects) are welcome, even if the work is not complete.
